Consulting, Management, Representation
We at MPLD are a leading full-service development consulting team serving all of Florida. We specialize in owner’s representation for the development phases including entitlements, site selection, public outreach, due diligence, and team building with professional design services, contracting, legal assistance, permitting for the horizontal and vertical built environments and more.
Our relationships and professionalism set us apart from the competition. These relationships have been developed and honed through 15 years and $6+ billion of intensive projects in the commercial and residential markets throughout the state. We also understand the entire development process and are not compartmentalized in our knowledge of the big picture and the steps necessary to achieve a certificate of occupancy. We keep all members of the project team running together toward the finish line.
Retaining our services will quite simply save you money, time and many headaches. We consider ourselves cost-neutral and understand the ticking clock of interest of your investors or owners.
Commercial and residential new construction to project redevelopment, at Miller Permitting & Land Development, we do it all.
Florida, as we are sure you have experienced, is a challenging place to start a project for developers, contractors and builders mainly due to the inconsistent, convoluted and repetitive processes that are common here. Our strong connections and in-depth understanding of these processes, however, move our projects along much more expediently than those with which we are unaffiliated. We have actually received many referrals from the counties and cities themselves within which we have managed client projects, having streamlined processes on both sides, increased communication between all parties and maintained respect and decorum all the way around. We will make sure your project receives this same special treatment and attention as well.
Why are we successful? Key relationships and an in-depth understanding of the process for each community we are working in. We have been working intensely in Florida for 15 years. We know the players (from top to bottom), how many children they have, and how hard we can push them without their losing their sense of humor. We know their cell phone numbers, email addresses, their desk locations, and we try to make them feel good about their role in the project. They know when they see us that they will get an honest exchange and an appreciative client. We make sure their hard work is noticed at the highest levels. They usually want us to be personally successful, which helps with our timelines.
We know all the components necessary for success, and we bring them together to help complete your project approvals ahead of expectations. It is rare that an architect knows all the civil engineer’s requirements or that planners know the architect’s requirements, and vice versa. We help connect those dots and keep everyone ahead of the game. Additionally, our owner worked for American Express for 12 years prior to starting this company and where she worked on the development side. This allows us to understand the owner’s side of the equation.
